LET’S ELIMINATE OVERDOSES

Our mission is to build partnerships that eliminate overdoses in Blair County. The Blair County Overdose Prevention Task Force encourages connections among various professional sectors and community members to uplift, develop, and implement programs to make a difference in combating the opioid epidemic. The relationships created through membership increase the Task Force’s ability to lead systemic and sustainable efforts that address current and future concerns.

Members of the Blair Overdose Prevention Task Force:

• Receive up-to-date information on local drug trends and SUD-related activities in Blair County.
• Learn about topics such as evidence-based prevention and treatment practices.
• Engage the network of providers, advocates, and people with lived and living experiences.
• Share best practices to guide the direction and the actions of the task force in addressing overdoses in Blair County.
• Learn what others are doing to mitigate overdoses in your community.

*Evidence-based refers to practices, treatments, or policies that are supported by well-researched and reliable evidence, derived from systematic, scientific methods such as clinical trials, observational studies, or rigorous data analysis. The term “evidence-based” is used to emphasize that decisions or recommendations are grounded in empirical data rather than anecdotal experience, personal opinion, or tradition.
