Driving Under the Influence

Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition

ARD is a pre-trial diversion program designed to divert first-time DUI offenders from the traditional criminal justice system. Acceptance into the ARD program is at the sole discretion of the Blair County District Attorney and acceptance will suspend the prosecution of a case before trial and requires the defendant to comply with conditions imposed by the court. An individual placed into the ARD-DUI program is under supervision with the Blair County Adult Probation Office for a specific period of time.  When the individual successfully completes the ARD program, the defendant may apply for an expungement, which is a court-ordered deletion of the arrest record, and the DUI charges will be dismissed.

Benefits:

  • No Jail
  • Record Expungement
  • Limited license Suspension
